Pancakes Press Issue No. 7

Greetings, humans of Earth, it is I, Darth Pancakes!

The food giver pens this missive on a train from London to Edinburgh because she has once again betrayed me. She will not be forgiven. She will come home to many hairballs. But for now… many glorious things have happened since the last issue of Pancakes Press.

On July 1st, the human published Tusk Love, her standalone romantasy set in the Critical Role universe. It was an instant bestseller at #4 on the New York Times, #5 on the Sunday Times, and #6 on USA Today! In more Hurricane Wars news, the first draft of Book 3 has been submitted to the editor. The human started this series during lockdown in our very tiny studio apartment in Metro Manila, unemployed and aimless with nothing but a dream. She ended it on the upper deck of an Emirates A380 bound for London, after telling the flight attendant to keep the espresso martinis coming because she was on deadline (while I was left to languish in our new two-bedroom home). How the turntables, and it is thanks to all of you!!! Title and cover reveals for the last book in the trilogy will be coming soon. Spoiler: Both the US and UK covers are our favorite ones yet, Kelly Chong has truly outdone herself.

Also… the trusty old laptop on which The Hurricane Wars, A Monsoon Rising, and Tusk Love were penned… now has a huge dent on the front corner because my apprentice, Truffles, pushed it off the bed. Everyone please give a round of applause for Truffles! I shall make a true darksider out of her yet.
